Add Comments and add Follow

Hello all, I hope someone can help again, with http://martinmyerswrites.com. I really have appreciated all your assistance! Now that we are near to using this site, including a Blog section, I realize that the theme does not automatically allow for readers to Comment on Posts. And I can't find an automatic option for them to Follow the Blog, either. I've checked the FAQs and instructions - nothing there, I think. I've gone through all the WP Admin site Settings. Can you please share some suggestions? Thanks again. All the best. Lori
