A bit to ask… Probably really easy though…

I have a few things I need done and I know they can all be done using the custom CSS box. I'm just not sure where to start as I've tried all the options I could think of. (see photo link) http://decedue.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Untitled.png 1. make the grey background transparent to show the main background 2. close the gaps between all the content boxes and widget boxes (about half) 3. round the corners of the footer box off to match all other content boxes 4. remove top and bottom grey lines on the footer. 5. make the footer #fff Help would be greatly appreciated.
